I’m very lucky to work with Christina O’Connor and Jane Fleming – two marketers who really get what it takes to succeed in our profession today. They came into marketing by slightly different routes, but they share a passion and enthusiasm for what they do – and in particular, for one of the trickiest briefs in the current marketing playbook. These two have quite literally written the book on co-ordinating content globally.
Christina and Jane have been on the frontline of LinkedIn’s global content strategy over the last few years. As regional content marketers, they are the ones balancing our own marketing agenda with the content that matters to our audiences in EMEA. It’s easy for marketers to see this kind of diplomatic balancing act as a chore – but they see it as a creative opportunity. They are also really, really good at it.
That’s why I encouraged them both to write The Sophisticated Marketer’s Guide to Global Content Marketing, which we released last year – and it’s why I was keen to have them as the next installment of our Inside Voices series of films. There’s no two people better suited to explaining why global content matters – and how to go about overcoming the challenges it involves.
