Janet Balis is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in cross-platform media. She now works at EY in Advisory Services within the Strategy practice where she leads efforts in Media & Entertainment sector as well as in the Global Markets team where she focuses on digital strategy. Immediately prior, she was a Partner and CRO for betaworks, a highly innovative studio of startups and investments.
Janet has also impressively led innovation in sales, marketing, and the digital space in a number of prestigious companies. They include The Huffington Post, AOL, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Digital Media Strategies, Time Warner, and Time, Inc.
She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Columbia College. Janet was named as an Advertising Age 2010 Women to Watch and a Crains Top 40 Under 40 in 2006. She currently serves on the boards of AWNY, the International Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Public Radio Exchange (PRX).
