THE CHALLENGE

GB Corp is a leading automotive company and non-bank financial services provider, operating across Egypt and regional markets. With more than 80 years of automotive experience, the Group provides a broad range of mobility, automotive, financial, and logistics solutions through its diverse businesses and brands.

In the last few years, as skills changed faster than GB Corp could hire and employers in the Gulf and Europe pulled talent out of Egypt, "GB Corp’s growth increasingly depends on growing and promoting talent from within," says CHRO Dr. George Sedky.

Exit interviews showed employees weren't leaving because of pay, they were leaving because they couldn't see how to grow their careers inside the company. GB Corp needed a way to make career growth personalized and visible at scale, so employees could advance their careers before looking externally.

THE SOLUTION

Career paths and skills intelligence with LinkedIn Learning Career Hub

With LinkedIn Learning Career Hub, GB Corp gave every employee one connected path to see where they could go, build the skills to get there, and move into new roles within the organization.

"LinkedIn Learning Career Hub gives us the skills visibility to help inform workforce, succession, and mobility decisions,” says CHRO Dr. George Sedky.

Inside those plans, AI-powered role play helps employees rehearse high-stakes conversations with an AI partner that gives instant, private feedback, moving development from watching courses to applying skills.

Employees set Career Goals and LinkedIn Learning Career Hub surfaces real internal openings, plus upskilling to help them get there. As Project Manager Yasmen Gaber Sayed describes it, GB Corp now sees "stronger career discussions, better development ownership, and more internal movement interest," with people choosing to advance at GB Corp instead of looking externally.

Career clarity and employee engagement

In the last 12 months, 47% of GB Corp employees either created or progressed a career plan. The strongest proof of interest came from employees: after the initial LinkedIn Learning Career Hub pilot, employees who were not initially assigned LinkedIn Learning licenses actively requested access, which the GB Corp team described as a “gold-standard” signal that employees wanted to use LinkedIn Learning Career Hub to own their career growth.
