Valentine's Day: The LinkedIn Marketing Solutions Product Team Talks Love (Video)

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, love steps into the spotlight. February 14th, of course, is usually associated with romantic love, but there are many other kinds of love to contemplate as Valentine’s Day approaches.

There’s love of the work you do. Love of your colleagues. And the love shown to customers.

Followed by a camera and carrying a microphone, Vivek Venugopal, a LinkedIn Account Executive, talked recently with some members of the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions product team about love. He asked them two questions:

  • Why do they love working for LinkedIn?
  • Why should marketers love the LinkedIn platform?

In this short video, "Valentine's Day: The LinkedIn Marketing Solutions Product Team Talks Love," you can see and hear the product team’s heartfelt answers.

In answering Venugopal’s questions, Irina Skripnik, Senior Product Marketing Manager, echoed what many of her fellow employees also said: “I love the people I work with. … They truly care about each other and about our customers as well.”

Alex Boisvert, Director of Engineering, LinkedIn, loves what he and his LinkedIn colleagues accomplish together. “I love building great products, and that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning,” he said.

Russ Glass, VP-Products, LinkedIn, offered his take on why marketers should love the LinkedIn platform and products such as LinkedIn Sponsored Content, LinkedIn Sponsored InMail, and programmatic advertising on LinkedIn. "I think they should love getting in front of exactly the right businesspeople with great content in a great context," he said.

Andrew Kaplan, Group Manager-Product Marketing, boiled down the rationale for marketers to love the platform to five words: “It’s simple. It’s the ROI.”
