“Live With Marketers” Kicks Off Season 3 on January 25

Michael Brenner and Andy Crestodina are two of the smartest minds in content marketing. I’m thrilled to announce that both of them will be joining me for the first episode of Season 3 of LinkedIn’s “Live With Marketers” webcast series on January 25 at 11am PT.
Broadcast live from the LinkedIn studio in Sunnyvale, Live With Marketers is our marketing talk show covering the toughest challenges marketers face. Our first two seasons covered proving ROI, social media marketing, and more. (Check out previous episodes).
In our latest Live With Marketers, “How to Maximize Your Blog Content,” Brenner, CEO of Marketing Insider Group, and Crestodina, CMO of Orbit Media, will be sharing their insight on how to get the most out of your blog. I’ll be the host for this live video stream and will pose your questions to this pair of thought leaders.
Jason Miller, Head of Content and Social Media Marketing at LinkedIn, likes to say, paraphrasing The Dude in The Big Lebowski, that the blog is the social media rug that ties the room together. In this special episode of Live With Marketers, Brenner and Crestodina will discuss a range of blog-related topics including:
- Blog post frequency
- Effective approaches to delivering quality blog content
- How to build an audience of devoted blog subscribers
Brenner will elaborate on his opinion that HR is the new marketing and that the most effective marketers are making it easy for their employees to share blog posts and other content with their networks. In his blog post, Why HR is the New Marketing, Brenner explained, “The trick is to explain what’s in it for them: creating or sharing content can help them build more connections, establish relationships with other leaders in your industry and grow their personal brand so they can achieve happiness in their careers.”
Crestodina will provide in-depth analysis of the trends and insights revealed by Orbit’s Annual Blogger Survey. One key trend: Bloggers are spending more time on their posts. “In 2017, bloggers spent 39% more time on a typical blog post than in 2014,” Crestodina wrote. “Three years ago, 1 in 20 bloggers spent 6+ hours on a typical blog post. Today that number is 1 in 8.”
