When it comes to content marketing and thought leadership, Amisha Gandhi, VP-Influencer Marketing and Communications at SAP, Ariba, and Fieldglass, has a simple philosophy: "Don't be a taker; be a giver." 

Oh, and avoid being too sales-y, Gandhi says in the latest Making Growth Happen video. Just be useful.

"A lot of companies think they're sharing their thought leadership, but it comes off very sales-y and very one-sided," she says. "One of the things we say is that if you bring a third-party, whether it's an analyst or an influencer or someone else, help them tell your story or join their conversation and give some knowledge away."
