Hiscox Creates Personalized Virtual Career Journeys with LinkedIn User Data
October 21, 2013
LinkedIn is a network where people share, learn and connect to enhance their careers. So, when Hiscox was looking for a way to connect with millions of small business owners, working with the LinkedIn API was a natural fit.
Hiscox specializes in insurance for small businesses and the company’s new Hiscox Reactor marketing program, launched in partnership with Tribal Worldwide, is aimed at increasing awareness and affinity for the Hiscox brand among small professional services businesses in the US.
The Hiscox Reactor takes users through a virtual Rube Goldberg machine personalized to their industry and personal experiences. For the first time in the U.S., users can get a personalized video experience based on their LinkedIn profiles, including their education, the companies they’ve worked for and their connections.
The experiences are segmented into six different industries based on the individual’s LinkedIn Profile:
- IT
- Consulting
- Real Estate
- Creative
- Architects/engineers
- General (anything that doesn’t fall in the main industry categories)
Every action in a professional’s career has a related reaction. The Hiscox Reactor brings each individual career journey to life through the LinkedIn API and ends on the red carpet with the individual’s LinkedIn profile picture on the cover of Fast Company magazine. The experience is supported by resource pages with useful tips and advice for small business owners and entrepreneurs on the Hiscox Reactor microsite
View your own personalized career journey by testing out the Hiscox Reactor for yourself.
