Why are finance companies increasingly turning to social media to connect with affluent investors? Because more than five million use social media to help with financial decisions. Of these, 73% use LinkedIn – more than Facebook, Google+, and Twitter combined.

So how can finance marketers engage with this valuable audience on social? To start, marketers must understand what types of information affluent investors are looking for. In a joint study by LinkedIn and Cogent Research, we answered this question by surveying over 600 mass affluent, affluent, and ultra affluent investors.
