David May

David joined AIG as Corporate Chief Marketing Officer in 2013. His global responsibilities include brand marketing strategy, primary and secondary market research, sponsorships, advertising and design, and AIG’s voice of the customer programs. Prior to AIG, David was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, which he joined in 1996 to create the corporate Brand Marketing Group. In 2008, David joined Goldman’s Investment Management Division where he led a range of global marketing and communications programs for private wealth management and asset management.

David began his career at Young & Rubicam and also worked at J. Walter Thompson New York where he served on the management committee. David co-authored a Harvard Business School case study on marketing issues facing Signode Industries. He began his career as a Princeton in Asia Foundation Fellow at Chinese Culture University in Taipei, Taiwan.

David has served on non-profit boards including the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, The Demand Institute, The Opportunity Agenda, Endicott College, the National Advertising Review Board and the Archdiocese of New York Patron’s Program. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his AB from Princeton University.
