Recent Updates: Q4 2019 What’s Coming: Q1 Release Our Recommendations to Customers

All users on shared contracts will now receive access to new feature releases at the same time. This provides a more seamless experience for users who may be collaborating on Sales Navigator and simplifies efforts for Admins planning training or enablement activities.

Data Validation: For each CRM contact record owned by Sales Navigator Enterprise Edition seat holders, a new ‘Not at Company Flag’ field will be created and automatically updated using LinkedIn data to indicate whether the contact is associated with the correct Account. You can leverage that field to identify out-of-date contacts, view deals at risk due to decision-maker turnover, or find new opportunities by identifying current customers that have moved to new companies -- simply by using the out-of-the-box reports in your CRM. This feature is only available to Sales Navigator Enterprise Edition customers with CRM Sync enabled (Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales customers).

Business Intelligence - a new SNAP Integration: The Analytics Integration allows you to seamlessly view and analyze Sales Navigator usage data in your preferred business intelligence platform to increase sales effectiveness and maximize productivity, providing several new workbook templates out-of-the-box. This integration is available to Sales Navigator Enterprise Edition customers using Tableau or Power BI.

Usage Reporting Refresh for Enterprise Edition customers: Usage Reporting is getting a new look and metrics to improve your experience and your team’s effectiveness:

  • New filters/exports: Filter your charts by custom date range, groups, and users. Improved CSV export includes date formats, filtering-out inactive users, and new column headers to match Account Center.
  • SSI accessibility update: SSI has been removed from the Usage Reporting user interface, but is still available in the CSV export.
  • Data updates:
    • A by-group view of InMail Acceptance Rate and Coach level gives you more actionable insights in guiding your team’s success.
    • We now measure Saved Leads and Saved Accounts to include all save actions, giving you a more accurate view of activity levels on a specific day.
    • For “messages sent”, we're now counting all messages that are sent from Sales Navigator, including additional responses to connection requests.
    • We fixed an issue where users with reinstated seats were considered active even without signing in again for the first time. The update now counts a seat as active once a user signs into their account for the first time. Some customers may see a decrease in their number of active seats.

Improved Location Search: More precise and accurate location search, with millions of suggested postal codes, cities, regions, states, and provinces added.

List Search Filters: Apply Account or Lead lists as a filter in Lead Search, making it simpler to identify leads within Account and Lead lists you’ve created or have been shared with you.

Funding Events Spotlight: Companies who raise funding are likely growing and maybe looking to scale or invest in new products or services. These Accounts now show up at the top of search results within the Spotlight tab, so you can see quickly if it’s likely a great time to reach out.

With the new In-Product Help widget, access relevant Help Center articles and live support directly from Account Center, without interrupting your in-product activity.

You can see whether or not a TeamLink Extend license has been accepted or declined in the user list, user detail and CSV.

When adding new users to your Account Center by email address, you’ll now have the option to add them to groups.

Take advantage of a  column-based filtering system to select and take action on one or multiple groups.

List owners are able to designate ‘view only’ or ‘edit’ permissions for collaborators, as well as add a description to their list. List collaborators with edit permissions are able to add, remove, and comment on Leads or Accounts within a Shared List. Alerts are sent to collaborators when Leads or Accounts have been added to or removed from a Custom List, and when there are new comments on a Custom List.

Mentioned in the News Alerts now open into a panel that slides out from the right side of the homepage, allowing you to view the article without leaving Sales Navigator.

Two Saved Account Alerts: one when your Saved Account has headcount growth, and the second when you have new hires into senior leadership positions at a Saved Account. These alerts are delivered for all Saved Accounts--no set up is required.

Improved recommendations on who to reach out to first for a warm introduction, using connection strength scores based on members’ interactions.

Oracle Sales Cloud is now including insights on Lead records and Account records, complementing insights already available on Contact records.

Create a Contact record in your Salesforce CRM directly from a Sales Navigator Lead Page or Lead List. This new functionality is the first of many aimed at streamlining the activities between Sales Navigator and your CRM. This feature will be available to Sales Navigator Enterprise Edition customers. Contact Creation in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is coming in the Q2 release.

Easily package and share content via link created in Sales Navigator which will track viewing behavior, and gain insights on what your prospects and customers are most interested in.

Share Lead Search: Share your lead searches with colleagues on your Sales Navigator contract so everyone can tap into the value of your search.

Saved Account Search: Save your favorite account search to revisit in the future and be automatically notified when a new account matches your search criteria.

“Your saved account is preparing to grow” indicates upcoming headcount growth based on an increase in job postings from your saved account.

We’re adding a slide-in panel for Alerts about a Saved Account raising money with calls-to-action within the panel, allowing you to take action without leaving your workflow.

Refresh for Teams Edition customers: Now ramping to Team accounts. For more details on the refresh, please review the Usage Reporting refresh update in the recent updates section.

Additional overview tab: Includes insights on seats, Coach Level distribution, and new Usage (basic activity) & Effectiveness (selling-based activity) spotlights.

Users will have an option to opt-out of LinkedIn.com activity tracking within currently blended metrics (days active, searches performed, and profile views) to get a view of just Sales Navigator activity.

In addition to English, the Sales Navigator mobile app is rolling out to all product supported languages (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish).

We're adding a new BI partner - InsightSquared. This Analytics Integration specifically empowers marketing, sales teams, and leaders to track their sales performance. You'll be able to access Sales Navigator usage data on InsightSquared and make better decisions with actionable, real-time intelligence on sales and marketing KPIs. Note: Enterprise customers only

Social Selling Index (SSI) Page Changes: The SSI page has been redesigned and the “Weekly SSI” and the “Team Leaderboard” sections have been removed in order to simplify the page.

Sales Navigator for Gmail Sunset: With your changing needs, the scope dedicated to this feature will be transitioned to other new capabilities and enhancements within Sales Navigator

IE11 Support: Due to low usage across our products on Internet Explorer, beginning July 1st, 2020 LinkedIn products will no longer support Internet Explorer 11. Learn more here.
