Cover Stories, Canadians and Customer Quotes

It’s been a very good couple of weeks at LinkedIn.

First, the latest edition of Fortune magazine hit newsstands with a cover story profiling how LinkedIn Recruiter is changing the way companies source top talent.

Second, we hit meaningful milestones in a couple of key international markets. We crossed the five million member mark in India, and we now have over two million members in Canada, making us an even better source of talent in these countries.

Third, we launched LinkedIn for Blackberry, enabling members globally to leverage the power of their network anytime, anywhere. The rich feature set includes the ability to search our entire network of over 60 million professionals and get the answer back in seconds.

Finally, we hosted our inaugural customer seminar at our headquarters in Mountain View, with Lou Adler of the Adler Group as our featured speaker (you can access the presentation in the “Cool Stuff” section of Lou's website). We’ll be taking our show on the road in the coming months and we’re excited to be planning our first ever customer conference (more on that soon).

We hosted the event in one of our buildings which is under construction, and at the end we gave attendees the option of signing a temporary wall. Here are a couple of my favorite quotes, firstly from Marie Norman at Esurance:

Johana Escobar from Gap Inc. had the following to say:

At LinkedIn, we realize we owe a great deal of our success to our customers. Without their passion and loyalty, we’d be nowhere. Esurance couldn’t have said it better – here’s to hundreds of hires with LinkedIn Recruiter in the next several years!
