April’s Top News on LinkedIn Today

May 3, 2011

A while back, we announced the launch of LinkedIn Today, a product that delivers the day’s top news, tailored to you based on what your connections and industry peers are reading and sharing.

One of many great features of LinkedIn Today is that it segments news by what people in specific industries are sharing. From now on, we’ll be posting a monthly recap of the most-shared news by people in the staffing and recruiting industry.

Want to know what your peers were talking about in April?  Read on…

At the beginning of the month, the buzz was all about March’s Jobs Report: good news that unemployment is down in the U.S., and jobs are up.

Increased competition for top talent in Silicon Valley, in particular, is causing some to claim that tech jobs are booming 'like it’s 1999.'

However, other economy news focuses on continued challenges for job-seeking young people without a college degree.

For those looking for work, here’s some advice from a seasoned executive recruiter.  Do you agree or disagree?

And on a lighter note: being a recruiter rocks! (Enough said.)

We’ll let you know the most-shared articles for the month at the end of May—and in the meantime, you can keep up with the latest on LinkedIn Today.
