Talent Connect

LinkedIn Recruiting Conference: Exciting New Sessions, Updated Training…and Earvin "Magic" Johnson!

Talent Connect is back in Las Vegas this October 10-12, 2012!

It’s been a busy couple months since we last updated you on Talent Connect 2011, LinkedIn’s customer conference for corporate recruiters—and I'm so excited to tell you about the most recent additions to our agenda!

One of the most exciting new sessions focuses on the future of recruiting.  The past five years have certainly given rise to some major changes in recruiting (the introduction of social technologies, a global recession, and an increased focus on passive talent, to name a few): and the next five promise to bring even more change.  As a Talent Acquisition professional, you’re likely wondering what to expect.  This panel will feature leaders from Autodesk, Deloitte and PepsiCo—they’ll share their perspectives on what's to come, and how you can prepare.

In another recently-announced keynote, Microsoft’s VP of HR and Director of Global Talent Labs will tell you how they're pushing the envelope in recruiting, with lessons you can apply to your own organization.  It will be a rare opportunity to hear from senior talent leaders at one of the world’s most innovative companies.

On the training front, we’re planning no less than 17 training sessions to help decision makers and power users get the most out of their investment in LinkedIn, with hands-on training and product education.  In addition, we’ve set aside two sessions to reveal new insights and trends culled from LinkedIn’s proprietary data.

Another new addition this year: we’re thrilled to partner with The Recruiting Awards, which take a crowd-sourced approach to recognizing the best of the best in Talent Acquisition.  Nominations are being accepted now. Stay tuned for more on the awards on this blog in the coming days.

Last but certainly not least, I’m delighted to announce that Earvin "Magic" Johnson will keynote at the conference! Magic is no stranger to building great teams on and off the court, and he’ll share learnings and stories from his noteworthy career.

This year’s Talent Connect promises to give more than 1,000 attendees the skills and information they need to take their recruiting to the next level.  You won’t want to miss it.

We’ll see you in Vegas!
