10 Books Every Recruiter Must Read This Summer
July 1, 2013
And just like that, it’s July. The dog days of summer are here and it’s time to start daydreaming about upcoming vacations, as well as what you’ll read by the pool or on the beach (with apologies to our friends south of the equator).
At the risk of jinxing you, sometimes the frenetic pace of work lets up a little over the summer. So even if you aren’t taking a vacation, it’s still an excellent time to pause, take stock of your year to date and think about your career and personal development.
On that front, good news: we’ve gathered some inspiration for you. We asked 10 talent acquisition rock stars (including Glen Cathey, Jeremy Langhans, Brett Underhill and more) to share with us the books every recruiter must read this summer (and what drinks to imbibe along with those reads).
Check out the list below for books that will hone your recruiting senses and give you perspective on leadership, finding top candidates, and improving your own career path. Who knows, maybe you’ll even find a new cocktail of choice in the mix.
