October 25, 2013

Attendees from more than 40 countries are making their way home after 2 days of shared best practices both on and off stage, lots of new data and insights, and inspirational words from our speakers at Talent Connect London. But that’s not all. Here is a glimpse of the other happenings at the event.

1. Baby, it’s cold inside

Talent Connect London Ice Cave

It might have been warm out on the streets of London, but customers entered a winter wonderland as they arrived to the Ice Cave InLounge, where they could network with each other, receive face-to face account support, write down what inspires them most and share it on “inspiration trees,” or simply relax with a cup of coffee in a winter wonderland.

2. Your mobile phone just became better

During the LinkedIn Product Keynote, Parker Barrile, Senior Director of Product Management shared that LinkedIn Recruiter will now be available on mobile.

3. Say “Cheese”

Customers had the opportunity to “Rock Their Profile” with personalised profile optimisation tips and new professional headshots.

4. Guess who got certified?

Actually, it was these smart folks who were among the first people in EMEA to become Recruiter Certified. You can get certified too!

5. Leap, and the net will appear

Sahar Hashemi received a rapturous response after sharing her inspiring story of building a business from scratch, taking intelligent risk, not letting the left brain's fear get in the way of the right brain's ideas, and the conviction that when you love what you do, work and play are the same thing.

6. The celebrity experience

Speculation was mounting throughout the day about the location for the surprise afterparty. At the last moment, our destination was announced and we set off to take over Madame Tussaud’s for the night, where customers got the full red carpet treatment, complete with clamouring paparazzi, followed by penalty shoot-outs with “David Beckham,” photo booth fun, face painting, and one exceptionally long conga line.
