Dubai Expo 2020: The UAE as the Next Hot Destination for Talent [INFOGRAPHIC]

Dubai, Congratulations, مبروك, Felicitations, Gratulate for winning the Expo 2020!

linkedin dubai expo2020 probably seem like a long way off, unless you’re hosting the third largest global event (behind the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup). Dubai Expo 2020 is expected to create more than 200 000 jobs in various sectors as the city prepares for the influx of visitors. The demand for local and international talent will increase dramatically and for companies to understand where to look for candidates, they need to dig into the data behind the inflow of talent.

At LinkedIn, we rely heavily on numbers and figures to help companies make the best choices when it comes to acquiring talent, and our latest research showed that the United Arab Emirates is in a good shape ahead of 2020. In fact, in the last 12 months, more than 49,000 LinkedIn members have moved to the UAE, and the country is winning almost 2x more professionals than it is losing. The study also showed that talent is mainly coming from India, the UK and the US internationally and Qatar and Saudi Arabia regionally.

Check out this infographic for more information about the UAE’s talent flows, and stay tuned as we reveal more details on our members in the UAE closer to the Expo.
