Talent Connect

Talent Connect London: Transformational Talent Topics for 2014

The talent acquisition professionals from EMEA will come together for LinkedIn's 4th annual Talent Connect London event on November 12th - 13th, to celebrate recruiting successes, share inspirational stories and transform the way companies hire great talent.

We have lots of exciting content and networking planned for you across 2 days, with the inLounge - a dedicated space for connecting, relaxing, or recharging - available for the duration of the event. There will be double the number of keynotes featuring leaders and visionaries from across the fields of business, politics, philanthropy and of course many more surprises to make the conference a truly memorable and valuable experience.

Although Talent Connect has grown substantially in size in the last 4 years, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to network with your peers, including a number of roundtable sessions to encourage discussion, a sit-down networking lunch, and drop-in meeting rooms available throughout the inLounge.

Session format and content

The sessions this year will be broken into 4 themed tracks -- Pipelining & Recruitment, Talent Brand, Data & Metrics, and Product Training. This means that you as an attendee can focus on what’s most important for you and your company.

You can check out the full agenda on the Talent Connect website, and here are just a few of the highlights you’ll see across our 4 themes:

Pipelining & Recruitment - If You’re Not Measuring Quality of Hire, You’re Not Hiring the Best People

Lou Adler, CEO, Adler Group will share how you can develop a “quality of hire” metric from the start of the recruiting process by comparing the candidate’s past performance to a predefined level of great performance for the job. Expect to see some new ground broken on how to measure and use quality of hire as the foundation for a passive candidate recruiting talent strategy.

Talent Brand - Be a Modern Recruiter: Automate Your Pipeline with Your Brand

Anthony Lasocki, Head of Talent Acquisition EMEA at Verizon will discuss how they have automated their pipeline through letting their brand warm up their talent. This has created an efficient process which has saved them time and allowed their recruiters to focus on hiring. He will also share how they implemented this process and the results they have seen from it.

Data & Metrics - How to Measure the Impact of Our Actions with Data

Laurence Ravat, Senior HR Business Partner at OECD & Laurence Bret-Stern, Marketing Director EMEA at LinkedIn, will address how the HR and Marketing functions can partner to revolutionise talent acquisition practice. Some of the ideas they will share are how to use data to guide and measure your team’s success by developing KPIs, and using the Talent Brand Index to judge how your talent brand is performing.

Product Training - The Prospect's Journey: How Candidates Engage with Jobs on LinkedIn

Ciara Fogarty and Isabela Cardoso, Global Product Consultants at LinkedIn, will walk you through both the passive and active candidate journey through the LinkedIn Jobs Ecosystem, including actionable tips on how you can drive the highest quality talent to engage with your organisation.

I really hope you’re looking forward to Talent Connect London as much as we are. Please join the discussion in our Talent Connect London group and get full details on registration, discounted hotels, highlights from last year’s event and much more on the Talent Connect London website.
