Let’s be real - there are some downsides to being a recruiter. People rarely appreciate your help, some hiring managers treat finding candidates like ordering off a McDonald’s menu, and some candidates use you to benchmark their salaries and get a raise.

Then there’s the flip side.

Recruiters help people start new careers and change their lives. Recruiting top talent is the most critical contribution you can have to a company, especially when you’re able to match someone’s personal mission with that of the company. Though it isn’t for everyone, for many recruiting is a passion and a calling.
