Showpad scales at speed with data-led insights.
Fast-growing Showpad was in the midst of a global expansion and needed marketplace and talent pool data to guide organizational and workforce planning decisions to help scale. LinkedIn Talent Insights provided Vice President of People, Peter Geiregat, much-needed insights on potential new markets and rich, previously-untapped talent pools, while benchmarking— against competitors and internally—helped guide organizational decisions.
Informing organizational and workforce decisions
Showpad has tripled in size over the last two years and shows no signs of slowing. Given the company’s ambitious global expansion plans, Geiregat knew he needed real-time data to assess markets and inform decisions about where to open new offices, how to find uniquely qualified talent, and how to structure the growing organization.
Data points to potential new markets
LinkedIn Talent Insights provided data needed to evaluate markets. For example, by tracking how often “sales enablement” was listed as a skill, the team could assess and prioritize key markets to drive more qualified sales leads. Benchmarking against key competitors helped better inform business development strategies while internal benchmark targets in tenure, attrition, growth rate, and total employee count helped guide organizational decisions. And to locate new talent, the team used data from LinkedIn Talent Insights to identify universities specializing in certain skills.
Main product used:
New offices in rich talent pools
Leveraging talent pool data in Talent Insights, Geiregat and his team identified Wroclaw and Munich as rich sources of new talent and set up offices in both cities.
Optimized workforce distribution
Following an analysis of workforce distribution and potential locations for key business functions, the company opted for staff locations that were different than originally planned.
Strategic partnership created
Data showed that one university produced 80% of the talent in a key market. By partnering with the university at career fairs, Showpad was able to connect with candidates before they entered the workforce.
“Using more relevant data is without any doubt the biggest opportunity in HR. Talent Insights has been critical in helping Showpad grow at scale, throughout a range of markets globally.”
