Collaborate more easily with your team

Now you can share your reports with other Talent Insights users on your team for easier collaboration. Simply copy the link, and share. Your teammate will then be able to open the pre-populated report.

How it works:

  • First, click on the arrow on the top right corner of a Talent Pool or Company Report to generate a link to share your report. 
  • Then, copy the link to your clipboard and send collaborators an email including the link. 
  • Collaborators can open the link from their email and have your search pre-populated into Talent Insights.

Our LinkedIn data team has pulled together the most commonly searched talent pools and defined what search criteria to use to get to the right population. Use these reports as a helpful starting point.

See hiring patterns over time

Better understand how competitors are hiring at a more granular level with hire and departure data for the last 6, 12, or 24 months.

How it works: Toggle between 6, 12, and 24 months in the Talent Flow tab in  the “Talent Flow” tab of the Company Report

Deeper integration with Recruiter

Recruiter license holders can now click on profiles in Talent Insights and view them in Recruiter so they can easily transition from planning their hiring strategy to sourcing individual candidates.

How it works: 

  • First, to use profile drill downs, click on any professionals counts to see the profiles that make up the data.
  • When you click “see profile,” you'll be taken to Recruiter if you have a Recruiter license.
  • You can also click the “Profiles” tab in the Talent Report to view a list of profiles and click “see profiles” from there.

Smarter Smart Suggestions

Our search suggestions are improving. We use AI to learn what you’re looking for based on your previous searches and current search terms so that you can be sure to capture the entire talent pool.

Talent Insights is now integrated into the Recruiter​ workflow

Using data has never been easier. As a Talent Insights customer, you’ll now be able to access talent market data from within the Recruiter workflow.*

* You must have the updated New Recruiter & Jobs experience as well as a Talent Insights license to see the Talent Insights report in Recruiter.

How it works:

  • Easy access. From Recruiter just click View Talent Insights and you’re on your way to smarter sourcing decisions. No need to ever recreate a search.

 

  • Become an expert. The Talent Insights report delivers only the key insights you need to understand talent market and bring critical insights to hiring managers.

  • Fast-track your sourcing strategy. Identify new sourcing opportunities with sourcing tips and impress hiring managers with actionable recommendations.

Updated employer value proposition data

Now see employer value proposition data for 2018 for a more up to date view into what your talent pool cares about.

New data is available in the Employer brand tab of your Talent Pool Reports.

Gender diversity data now available in Company Report exports

Talent Insights and New Recruiter & Jobs are now integrated

Go from planning to sourcing more seamlessly with a link from Talent Insights to Recruiter Search.

Start your search in Talent Insights to learn key insights about your talent pool. Then, with one click, take your search to Recruiter where your search will be replicated using the same search facets.

This is just the beginning. You will soon be able to access key talent pool insights from LTI within your existing Recruiter workflow.

The ability to view your Talent Insights search in Recruiter is part of the New Recruiter & Jobs experience. You must be on New Recruiter & Jobs to use the link.

View Employer Brand Engagement and Gender Insights for Affiliated Companies 

Gain a more holistic view of your employer brand engagement and gender balance by viewing affiliated company data.  

To view employer brand engagement or gender representation data of your affiliated companies, you need to get permission from the companies. Contact your sales representative if you want access to the data. They will help you get started on the process.

Gender insights data is now global

Use the gender tab in the company report to explore the gender balance at your organization.

Build your own list of peer companies for more relevant employer brand benchmarks

You can see the new data in the employer brand tab. To make changes to your default list, you can:

  • Go directly to settings and create lists
  • Click on “edit company list” from the benchmarking drop down within the employer brand tab.

Learn more about companies you discover in Talent Insights with helpful company descriptions

Search for a competitor in the company report, and then select “see company description”.

Filter Company Reports by employment type

See data specifically for employees who are Full-Time, Part-Time/Temp., Intern/Student, or Contract/Self-Employed. Company Report searches will be defaulted to include only full-time employees.

See talent for even the most niche of searches

The 30 profile minimum for searches has been lifted. See talent pools for all searches so long as there is at least 1 professional.

Salary Insights

See how much target talent earns when looking at CAN, US, and UK talent pools. View average total compensation, base salary, and likely additional compensations to source more efficiently and be more informed in hiring manager and candidate conversations.

You can customize currency and whether to see total compensation or base salary by default in the settings menu, behind your profile image in the top right.

Where to find it:

See data in the Overview, Location tab, Company tab, and Industry tab of the Talent Pool report.

 

Filter by years of experience

You can now search by years of experience. Select from 0-30+ years of experience to narrow in on the right talent.

Where to find it:

Access the filter in the left hand search in the Talent Pool report.

 

Better company benchmarking

Include affiliate companies in the definition of “your company” to view grouped benchmarking metrics. Changes apply to "My talent" data in the Talent Pool Report and  “Your %” in the Company Report. Employer brand data, gender diversity data, and your internal Company Report stats won't be updated.

 

Where to find it:

Access in settings, behind your profile image in the top right, for changes to take place across the Talent Pool Report and the Company Report.

 

 

Search by job function


Quickly expand or refine your search when you filter by job function (i.e. Sales, Engineering, Legal, etc.).

Where to find it:

Access the filter in the left hand search in the Talent Pool Report and the Company Report.

 

Job posts in the Company Report


See all active job posts based on your search criteria in the Company Report. Use job post data to understand where your competitors are investing.

Where to find it:

See job posts in the Location tab, Skills tab, and Titles tab of the Company Report.

 

Customize the definition of Recent Grads


Access more specific “Recent Grads” data by editing the time since graduation, e.g. the last two years, the last four, or even a specific date range. Explore even more customization options in the new Settings page.

Where to find it:

Customize in settings, behind your profile image in the top right. Access the insights in the Education tab in the Talent Pool Report.

New Release: Diversity (U.S. insights)

We’re integrating new gender insights in the Company and Talent Pool reports to help your team set diversity hiring goals and identify talent pools with greater gender representation.  

New Gender tab in the Company Report

  • Assess the gender diversity of your United States-based workforce
  • Benchmark against the industry to identify gender gaps
  • This is a private report available to your company only. No other companies can view this information in Talent Insights.

 

Gender insights in Talent Pool report

  • Available in the Overview, Location, Industry, Skills and Titles tabs
  • Help identify talent pools with greater gender representation to inform your sourcing efforts

New Release: Redesigned Homepage

We’ve redesigned the homepage to make it even easier to:

  • Create a custom report by title, skill or company
  • See recommended reports based on your recent searches
  • Continue where you left off with instant access to your search history

New Release: Excel Export

You can now export data from Talent Insights to Excel to easily create your own analysis and run comparative studies. You can export a specific module (look for ) or multiple sections of the report.

Get accurate insights on a company’s workforce by including or excluding their affiliates. You can select: all affiliates, specific affiliates, or no affiliates.

Head over to the Company Report, search for a company and use the + icon to include or exclude relevant affiliates.

Updated Policy: License assignment caps

We’ve updated our policies for the number of times you may assign or reassign Talent Insights licenses.

Your organization’s number of assignments and re-assignments is capped across a 12-month period and depends on the total number of licenses purchased:

  • The total number of assignments and re-assignments permitted is either 3x your number of licenses OR 10, whichever is greater. This includes first time assignments.
  • For example, a company with 10 licenses can do 30 assignments in a year.

Note: As a license holder, your search history is your own. It will not be shared with another user, but it will be retained for you if there is a gap in your access.

We are excited to share that PDF export is here! You can now download a PDF export of the entire Talent Pool or Company Reports by clicking Export. Alternatively you can also download a specific module by clicking on the menu icon (…) located at the top right of the module and selecting “Export.”



Here’s a sneak peak of what the PDF export looks like:

 

We’ve released a new module on the Overview tab that highlight Key Insights such as: “Hidden gem” locations where talent supply is high relative to demand, and may be great places to source or open a new office. Take a look in a Talent Pool Report.Net winners and losers of talent between companies (as shown in image below and in a Company Report)

 

You can now see how you rank vs. peers when engaging with specific talent pools. You can answer questions such as:

Are you engaging with the available talent pool more than peers?Is your inmail response rate good or can it be better?

A default list of nine similar companies has been automatically created for you. This list is based on companies that are frequently viewed along with your company on LinkedIn. In the future, you will be able to customize your list of peers.
