What does a brand ambassador do?

A brand ambassador represents a company’s brand in a positive light to increase your brand awareness and business sales.

Their main goal is to promote and increase a brand’s visibility to a target audience. They typically do this by attending events, engaging with customers on social media and creating content such as blog posts or videos. They may also give product demonstrations, provide customer service and support and gather feedback from market research.

Objectives of this role

  • Representing the company at various events and functions, including trade shows, product launches and community events.
  • Establishing and maintaining business relationships with the audience, local trade community and distributors.
  • Building up marketing campaigns, ideating content and responding to posts that will build up a community of followers.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to develop new strategies for increasing brand awareness and sales.

Your tasks

  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide information to customers about our products/services.
  • Generate brand awareness through social media and other marketing channels.
  • Create and distribute promotional materials such as flyers, brochures and other marketing collateral.
  • Track and report on brand awareness and customer engagement metrics.

Required skills and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a brand ambassador or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and industry professionals.   

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of social media and other marketing channels.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Possess reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
