Human resources managers strategize, monitor, and direct all the employee-related functions within the structure of a company. They oversee recruiting, hiring, training, and developing the staff, and often serve as a link between the company’s management and its employees. Objectives of the role

  • The work profile of an HR manager is to oversee and refine employee procedures, keeping in mind existing HR guidelines
  • Implement, and improve employee benefits programs, including health, compensation, insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation and other HR functions
  • Spearhead and assist recruitment processes and prepare new employees by establishing and conducting relevant orientation and training programs
  • Guarantee compliance with national and local HR strategy by conducting detailed investigations and maintaining records
  • Identify improvements to internal operating activities, including team restructuring and morale building

Responsibilities

  • Support various departments by delivering strategic HR functions that fit with the overall organisational goals
  • Plan and implement HR projects by scheduling management conferences, resolving employee grievances, training managers to lead teams, and counselling employees and supervisors
  • Provide clarity to employees so that their roles support the overall business vision
  • Maintain management guidelines with the preparation of new HR projects
  • Foster strong relations with external suppliers that are built on trust
  • Handle confidential business matters with discretion, while adhering to standard HR practices   

Required skills and qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience as human resources manager or in the recruitment field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with an ethical mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Familiarity with standard HR system software

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or training in HRM
  • Experience in working with PeopleSoft software
  • Strong understanding of national laws related to HR
