What does a recruitment consultant do?

A recruitment consultant primarily works towards sourcing and selecting potential candidates from the talent pool, for a company. Although recruitment consultants don’t always partake in the interview process, they are most likely to be involved in curating the right recruitment strategy for a company. From attending job fairs to maintaining solid relationships with clients, a recruitment or job consultant works towards finding the right person for the job, through effective planning and implementation. Keeping the company’s ethos and regulations in mind, the talent acquisition consultant paves the way for recruiting candidates by assessing the talent pool and matching them with the vacant positions available.

You might hire a recruitment consultant to:

  • Spearhead the hiring process by adopting the best strategies as a global manpower consultant
  • Manage and maintain data and paperwork related to recruitment
  • Review CVs, schedule interviews and follow up with candidates regarding the hiring process
  • Liaise with a senior recruitment consultant and attract a network of talent that can be used to fill the staffing gaps in the company
  • Effectively use recruitment channels to connect with potential employees as a recruitment consultant
