David Thacker is a senior product leader who currently serves as the Vice President of Product for LinkedIn. In this role, David leads the teams responsible for creating a variety of content marketing and sales oriented products for LinkedIn.

David’s career spans a variety of arenas ranging from software engineering to product management and work within the venture capital world. Throughout his career he’s held several executive level roles at such high-impact companies as Groupon, Google, and currently at LinkedIn.

While at Groupon, David served as Vice President of Product where he was responsible for their personalization and merchandising technology, as well as General Manager of Groupon's e-mail business. He built his expertise in online advertising during more than five years at Google, serving as one of the early product leads for Adwords and later as Google's senior advertising product executive in Europe.
