Responsibilities

  • Understand the consumer needs and analyse the psyche of the users
  • Develop designs and prototypes using the product designer work tools
  • Find the right materials and techniques that not only produce high-quality products, but at a lower cost
  • Perform testing on product prototypes and further improve them based on the usability tests
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team including the senior product designer to gain insights and a different perspective
  • Learn, research, and stay on top of innovation and design trends on a global scale

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in product design, industrial design, or a related field
  • Prior experience as a product designer or in a similar role
  • Solid knowledge  of principles of design with a proper understanding of colour theory
  • Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other similar tools
  • Ability to think outside the box, while working on tight deadlines
