THE CHALLENGE
Keyloop powers the dealer management and retail software behind the automotive industry in more than 90 countries. As AI changes both how people buy and service cars and how Keyloop’s own engineers build products, building AI capability is now a competitive priority.
When Keyloop gave employees access to Microsoft Copilot and Claude, leaders expected a productivity lift. What they found instead was uneven adoption and scattered pockets upskilling. Some teams were already using AI; others had barely started. And across the business, there was no shared view of what effective AI usage looked like. As L&D Manager Lenny Deverill-West put it, “The challenge wasn’t AI access, it was using AI to drive business outcomes.”
THE SOLUTION
Keyloop uses LinkedIn Learning Career Hub to give every employee curated, role specific AI upskilling. And alongside the company-wide Copilot rollout and targeted Claude access, Chief People Officer Amy Selway also partnered with the executive team, IT, L&D, and the AI Centre of Excellence to launch a company-wide AI framework built on LinkedIn Learning’s AI Skill Pathways.
Before, AI learning at Keyloop was scattered. Now it's specific to each role and skill level, so every employee knows exactly how to start using AI in their role, and what to learn next.
Senior leaders and managers use LinkedIn Learning Career Hub's AI-powered role play to rehearse sensitive conversations. Early feedback has been strong: leaders were surprised how thorough and actionable the AI feedback was.
CEO Tom Kilroy is an engaged presence in Keyloop's AI learning communities, regularly sharing how he uses AI in his own work. That visible leadership gives everyone permission to make time for learning.
THE RESULTS
Copilot data shows Keyloop employees are about 20% more efficient since the framework launched, saving roughly 90 minutes a day on drafting, planning, summaries, and customer work.
Learning license activation hit 93%, well above the 74% peer median, and active learners grew 105% year over year. Keyloop employees’ top skills include Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, AI Software Development, and Microsoft Copilot.
630 engineers, or about 70% of Keyloop's engineering team, completed a tailored AI pathway pairing LinkedIn Learning Career Hub with internal workshops to give engineers a common AI foundation.
Repeat learners each month (vs 49% peer median)
More course videos viewed, year over year
Year-over-year growth in active learners
The combination of LinkedIn Learning Career Hub, our AI Skills Framework, and Copilot is driving real productivity gains and stronger AI adoption across the business. Together, they've helped us move AI from experimentation into measurable outcomes.
