    KEYNOTE

    • James Caan, Serial Entrepreneur, CEO of Hamilton Bradshaw

UK serial entrepreneur and recruitment veteran James Caan will present the keynote address on the changing face of recruitment. As the founder of RPO giant Alexander Mann and international search firm Humana which he started in the 80s and 90s respectively, James has lived through and succeeded through the past 30 years of evolution in the recruitment industry. Caan vividly recollects his journey from the early days of the technology boom and how it directly impacted the recruitment business. Passionate about people, Caan started his recruitment business in a broom cupboard in Pall Mall with only a phonebook and a roladex. Advances in the first PCs, the development of fax machines and job boards have each time shaken the industry and the direction of recruitment which James has embraced and gone on to grow market leading brands. When LinkedIn launched in 2003, various recruiters thought they would have to switch their lights off and go home. Caan recognised the potential of the professional networking services’ to grow his 40 recruitment firms at his recruitment-focused investment firm Hamilton Bradshaw. James will share his insights on technology and recruitment and take us on his journey of how he has built some of the fastest-growing brands in the recruitment sector and has personally become the 7th most followed person on LinkedIn in less than 18 months.
