Your questions answered
New updates have made Recruiter, Jobs, and Pipeline Builder more seamless than ever. Let us help answer any questions you may have.
Homepage
What has improved with the new homepage layout?
The homepage has been redesigned to help you more easily pick up where you left off in Recruiter. You can now quickly resume work on recent projects and respond to feedback requests right from the homepage.
Search
Where can I find spotlight filters to narrow down my search to people who are more likely to engage?
“Spotlights” have moved to the top-left side of the search screen within the search filters panel. You can now select more than one of these filters at a time to further refine your search.
How do I save a search and where can I find it after it’s saved?
You can save any search that was created from within a project. To save a search:
- Navigate to a project “Talent pool” tab.
- Click “Search history” at the top-left side of the screen. You will see a list of the searches you have run.
- Save a search by clicking the “Save search” button to the right of the desired search. From here you can access all saved searches by clicking the “Saved searches” button on the left side of the screen.
How do I find people similar to a specific candidate?
Within the “Recruiter search” tab of your “Talent pool”, or within a candidate profile from search, navigate to the three-dot menu icon (“...”) and select “Find more people like.”
Where can I find a profile that I’ve hidden from my search?
You can access hidden results by clicking the “Hidden from results” button in the top-right corner of the “Recruiter search” view.
Projects: candidate management
What is the “Talent pool” tab within a project?
The “Talent pool” tab contains all of your search results and candidates from Jobs and Pipeline Builder campaigns that you added to a project.
What is the Pipeline?
The “Pipeline” is a place to keep track of qualified search leads or job applicants in a project. You save qualified candidates from your “Talent pool” to your “Pipeline” and move them through the “Pipeline” stages to see how they progress through the hiring process.
What happens when I add a job post to a project?
In the New Recruiter and Jobs, the “Projects” folder is used to organize both Recruiter searches and job posts. This makes it easier to organize your searches and job applicants for an open role in one place. For example, you might create a project called “Account Managers” that you’re using to fill an open account manager role. This project can contain both a Recruiter search for “account manager” and a job post for an “account manager.” When you post a job, you’ll be able to view and manage all applicants in the “Applicants” tab of the “Talent pool.”
How do I edit my job post details and settings?
Navigate to the “Manage” button within a project to edit job details, renew your job, close your job, and so forth.
Where is the “More” menu? I need to import candidates.
You can import candidates directly to any project by clicking “Add a candidate” from the “Talent pool” tab or from the “Pipeline.”
Where can I find a profile that I’ve hidden from my search?
You can access hidden results by clicking the “Hidden from results” button in the top-right corner.
Do applicant rejection notifications count against InMail credits?
No, there is no cost to send rejection notifications.
Where can I see applicants that I’ve rejected?
You can view applicants that you’ve rejected by navigating to the “Archived” stage within the project “Pipeline.”
Can I send rejection messages to multiple applicants at once?
Yes. To reject multiple applicants at once, select the desired applicants using the checkboxes and click the “Reject” button near the top of the list of applicants.

Can I give my teammates access to collaborate on my job or project?

- Click “Hiring team” on the left side of the screen
- Click the “Add someone” button on the right side of the screen
- Type in the name of the teammate you would like to add as a member of your project
- Select one of three different types of permissions for a project member: “Sourcer,” “Manager,” or “Collaborator”
Where is the “Ask for review” button? How do I request feedback from a hiring manager?

- Navigate to the 3-dot menu icon (“...”) on the right side of the screen
- Click the “Share” button
- Enter the name of the person you want feedback from
