It’s easy to find and source candidates. But once you do, the hard
part is convincing them to join your organization. To uncover the best
ways to convince someone to leave their job and take yours, we
interviewed 7 highly sought after candidates and 2 expert recruiters.
We asked them what advice they would give recruiters on how to woo
candidates. Here’s what they said:
Listen: Candidates want to feel understood. Get to know them
and their career goals. Then, match their interests and backgrounds
with the right opportunities.
Be honest: Candidates want to know what it’s really like to
work at your organization, not a sales pitch. Do your homework to
give them an accurate picture of the organization and role.
Advocate: Candidates appreciate it when recruiters help them
once they’ve made the first cut. If they’re a good fit, help the
hiring manager and their team realize it.
