Discover expanded capabilities available in Advanced AI-Assisted Search.
Save time creating search prompts.
Just copy and paste your intake notes or job description and Recruiter will interpret what you mean without you needing to translate your notes into standardized filters.
Find better qualified candidates.
Go beyond standard filters or keywords on profiles to represent skills more accurately. Search understands context, matching based on the specific qualifications you’re looking for, even critical, harder-to-define skills not explicitly listed on resumes.
AI-Assisted Search sessions saw an overall +18% higher InMail acceptance rate when compared to search sessions with manual filters.*

To get started with AI-Assisted Search and Projects in Recruiter, click the search bar and select Start a new AI-assisted search or Create a new AI-assisted project.
We’re expanding AI-Assisted Search capabilities to go beyond simply matching on filters. Now, Advanced AI-Assisted Search will be able to match by qualifications not typically listed on candidate profiles or resumes – but often listed on job descriptions– like “has experience solving ambiguous problems” or “can lead large, cross-functional workstreams.” By better understanding a recruiter’s intent, AI-Assisted Search will deliver better search results and provide a more thorough skill representation for candidates.
There are even more ways to search now, too. Paste in notes from a hiring manager, type in your hiring goals, or paste a job description to the search bar.
Click the Book icon in the search bar to start a search with a prompt template. You can generate or refine a Boolean string, ask for groups and AI suggestions, import search criteria from a job description, or create a search from a profile.
For more information, check out our guide with example prompts.
Using this feature is optional. You are still able to initiate a search or create a project without using AI-Assisted Search and Projects. To start a search without using AI-Assisted Search, click the search bar on your Recruiter homepage and select “Start a Recruiter search” with filters from the dropdown.
You can also set your default preferences under “AI Preferences” in Product settings. If you default to the traditional keyword search, all searches will default to keyword and AI will be available as a secondary option.
Yes, you can still do Boolean searches in Recruiter. If you want to perform a Boolean search without any AI assistance, add your Boolean string to the search bar and you’ll be given the option to run a traditional keyword search from the dropdown.
You can also use AI-Assisted Search to create and modify Boolean strings. If you enter a Boolean string to the search bar, AI will search with the Boolean string. Alternatively, you can ask AI to create a Boolean string for a specific open role with conversational language. For example, you can enter “Write a Boolean that consists of recommended skills for Java Developers.”
